[Edo Tokyo Kirari Project] Pop-up Shop at Haneda Airport Terminal 3

Edo Tokyo Kirari Project will hold a limited-time pop-up store at Haneda Airport Terminal 3 (departure area) from Wednesday, February 28, 2012.
Twenty-nine model businesses from the fields of “Fashion,” “Food,” and “Life” are participating. Based on the concept of “Old meets New,” the lineup includes products that have evolved to meet the needs of modern lifestyles, as well as reliable quality and beautiful design.
This is an excellent opportunity for visitors from Japan and abroad to discover the charm of Tokyo’s shining “treasures” and to actually pick them up and take them home with them.

◾️Stoles and bracelets tailored to modern styles while utilizing traditional Edo techniques such as Edo komon and Tokyo kumihimo.
◾️Shirts made using traditional stencil dyeing techniques (chusen) and combining modern functionality with a sense of fun, dresses tailored from traditional textiles used for yukata, etc.

◾️Soba noodles, seaweed, and dried bonito flakes, which have been popular as Japanese food.
◾️Negi Miso and Negi Salt using Edo-Senju-Negi (Spring onion)
◾️A candy based on Aruheitou(a type of sugar loved since the Edo period), vegan cookies made by a long-established shop that handles selected fruits, etc.

◾️Ukiyoe woodblock prints using Edo woodblock print techniques and calligraphy, a traditional Japanese culture, with a modern sensibility, sublimated into interior art.
◾️Edo faceted glass with traditional and original hand-polished patterns, and new glass products created in collaboration with handmade glass factories in downtown Tokyo, Edo faceted glass artisans, designers and creators.
◾️Tokyo handmade brushes, Mokumegome dolls, Hontsuge combs, Edo Kumiko products, etc.
