[Hirose Dyeworks] Komon Hirose Exhibition 2020

At Hirose Dyeworks, where we have preserved the dyeing technique of Edo Komon for more than a century, we recently began a collaboration with a yoga-wear brand to sell the world’s first komon pattern yoga-wear products. In September of 2020, we launched an online store on our website. Through the store, you can buy stoles and ties featuring delicate and beautiful komon patterns on Japanese silk.

What is more, from November, we are holding our annual Komon Hirose Exhibition at Nagoya Matsuzakaya and the Hankyu Umeda Main Store. Please come and see the exquisite world of Edo Komon.

This shark overlay pattern, yoroke-striped kimono was selected for the 60th East Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition. It is an original kimono created by Yuichi Hirose, the fourth generation heir of the Hirose Dyeing Factory.
