At the Isehan-Honten,currently hosting an exhibition perfectly tailored for adults who have fallen in love with the charm of miniatures. Whether it’s landscapes in dioramas, fantasy characters, or toys from our childhood, the miniature world has always beckoned us with its small spaces that fit in the palm of our hands.

Some may observe every detail of the intricately crafted miniature world, while others may relive or simulate experiences within it.

In this collection, curated primarily from the “Kawaichi Collection” by Yumiko Kawauchi, a collector of miniature Hina dolls’ accessories, meticulously gathered over the years, visitors can marvel at miniature Hina doll accessories that were already small and further reduced in size, showcasing the craftsmanship from the Edo period to the Showa era, capturing the essence of each era.

The exhibition is sure to stir the love for miniatures in every viewer, with numerous items brimming with the passion of collectors. Come and immerse yourself in the “small world” laid out before you to your heart’s content.

【Exhibition Overview】
Duration: February 20th, 2024 (Tuesday) – April 7th, 2024 (Sunday)
Closed on Mondays (The museum will be open on Sundays during the exhibition period)
Opening Hours: 10:00 – 17:00 (Last admission at 16:30)
On April 5th (Friday), the museum will be open from 13:00 to 19:00.
Admission Fees for the Special Exhibition:
General Admission: 600 yen
Admission with Limited Edition Leaflet: 800 yen (Limited availability, subject to sell-out)
Holders of disability certificates and one accompanying caregiver: 300 yen
Junior high school students and younger: Free admission

【Regarding Admission to the Exhibition】
Viewing on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays is by advance reservation only. Please make an online reservation via the electronic ticket sales system “Teket” before visiting.

Cancellations and changes to the date and time after application completion are not permitted.
Tickets cannot be refunded or reissued.
Even holders of disability certificates and their caregivers, junior high school students and younger, and those with invitation tickets are requested to make advance reservations.
There is no staggered entry system, so depending on the congestion in the exhibition room, you may have to wait for admission even at the designated time.
For those who visit without a reservation, if there are available slots from the reserved ticket sales limit, same-day tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. However, if sold out upon arrival, entry will not be permitted. Additionally, same-day ticket reservations via phone are not accepted.
Priority entry will be given to those with reservations. For those purchasing same-day tickets at the venue, they will be guided to the next available time slot in order, but depending on the situation that day, considerable waiting time may be required.
Weekdays do not require reservations, but entry may be subject to waiting during busy times.
