KIPPU is an original jewelry brand launched jointly byMiyamoto Unosuke Shotenand Saito Mekki Factory, which are headquartered and located in Taito Ward, respectively. Miyamoto Unosuke Shoten supplieskazarikanaguused to producemikoshiin practice for crafting rings, cuffs, necklaces, and brooches based on the designs and conceptual information provided bymikoshicraftsmen.

The brand name KIPPU stems from the term “kippu,” which refers to the temperament of captivating Edo natives with a bold and refreshing spirit. The beautiful patterns on the jewelry are chiseled and intricately crafted one by one, and they symbolize a range of auspicious meanings from prosperity to good health and happiness.

“We hope that KIPPU will ignite more interest in festivals and serve as a source of comfort for people who enjoy these festivals, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, when many festivals sadly cannot be held,” the brand commented. With regard to the products, it also added, “Each design features three different kinds of plating that evoke different atmospheres: light gold, vintage gold, and vintage silver. Please take a closer look at the actual items.” How about selecting an innovative piece of jewelry that also embodies cultural traditions as a gift for your loved ones during this dazzling festive season?
