[Tsuchiya Kaban x Kyogen] Birth of the “HERTE” designer school bag based on family crests
Announcing the sale of Randoseru school bags for the 2024 school year, which are a collaboration between family crest designer “Kyogen” and long-established leather goods brand “Tsuchiya Kaban”! Available from March 1, 2023
Spring marks the start of school. Department stores and retail stores that sell “Randoseru” school bags will soon begin selling them to elementary school students for next spring. Sales will begin from Wednesday, March 1, 2023 for 2024 admissions from the leather product brand “Tsuchiya Kaban” from Randoseru studio, a participant in the Edo Tokyo Kirari Project. One recommended masterpiece is a Randoseru created in collaboration with “Kyogen” , who is also a participant in the Edo Tokyo Kirari Project.
These Randoseru incorporate new patterns drawn by Mr. Shoryu Hatoba, a third-generation family crest designer (hand-painted family crest craftsman) from Kyogen, the gusset on the side on the Randoseru and shoulder belts etc. are embossed, and the main material of cowhide (waterproof) is hand polished with a shaded texture that enhances the feel of leather. Two colors are available, “Stone Greige,” a mix between gray and beige, and “Frost Blue,” a color reminiscent of a deep frost. The origin of the name is the word “Heritage (tradition, heritage, character),” and the Japanese term “Hete” for the passage of time.
This is a new series that brings out the uniqueness of Japan in high-quality Japanese-made bags that are handcrafted one by one. Please take a look at our catalog or store with your children.

The crest theme is “6 years.” The twelve lines represent 12 months (= 1 year), and superimposing six of these gives the meaning of six years, to express the six years that children use it for bags.
The hexagonal honeycomb structure is considered a stable shape. We want children to grow up healthy and strong, both physically and mentally. This is our desire for children.
